Orozco - Chicotes (2010)

What are chicotes, are they rope ends, cig ends, whips?

Here on the floor chicotes are strips from (what is) not an object or a crow but a mobile infrastructure, a material system, a technical industry. Strips of exploded tyres, arranged (and molten aluminium) here on the floor.

I hope it wasn't the chicotes.

I think it was the environs.

I think the environs were a trigger.

I keep thinking about it.

One thought is, after the mother had applied the medication not rectally as advised but squirting in the mouth of the (adult) son in front of the newspapers of all the other people in the carriage and the (adult) son had come round, she and he remembered they were friends.
