you are always trying to keep something (contact, contact...) going, keep the ball up in the longer interactions

in the shorter interactions, there is a loose script punctuated by characterful/spirited interjections, (‘Oh, it's my turn to do something now isn't it’) showing minute variations fleeting, unrecorded, temporary...

...fleeting from others, stimulating specific relevant social response, snatches of exterior conversations...

what are YOU writing? You are forced into certain responses that are scenario-specific, grouped by co-writer who may be:

lover/family/friend (via text or phone - or remembered, planned or imagined conversation?)
customer
boss
colleague/friend
friend (dropping by?)
deviant interlocutor

basically, various quoted texts feeding in to you via other people and the internet...

...intense overquotation...

the act of walking is enough in itself to mute out many of these voices, or at least cut off a few channels.

what is ‘from’ in ‘from WALKING’? It is ‘from area (site)’. Consult a map.

(cannot depart from area (site) because of job and overfamiliarity, overseeing (over-seeing and overseeing? emotional overoverwriting overquotation overloadeding))
